Does this fence quote sound about right?

Ok so I know I should get a few quotes but it's taken me weeks just to get one person to come out after being 'ghosted' by so many
£1350 for 18mtrs of new wooden slat fence and 2 gates
North England

I think it's cheap. I paid more than that with out gates. I'm no expert and can't remember the exact size etc

But I did get the best quality fences as my garden is very windy and didn't want to pay out again.

@BusterGonad
Yeah I have nothing to compare it to really other than a quote a few years ago which was £600
Even at the time I thought that was too good to be true

@BusterGonad I'm in a very windy area too

I was quoted £1100 for eleven fence panels - no posts as already have concrete ones. I opted for extra strong panels which were double the price of the feather edge ones but I'm sick of my fence blowing down every time there's a storm. Like you I had trouble finding anyone, so am going with this one. I'm in the NW of England.

It will be dearer than a few years ago because the cost of all materials has rocketed.

Thanks
I'm still deliberating
I've been deliberating for 6 years

If you've got the cash then just get it done. Why are you diliberating so much?
fedup078 · 04/03/2022 14:08

@BusterGonad ah it's an open plan front garden and I have a service strip at the front so I have to leave a gap so I'm not sure if it will look stupid
I've also realised I've been using part of the lawn to turn the car off the drive due to no space with ppl parking on the road

Ah, so it's not just a replacement of old fences. I understand.
