Honestly. I've tried so many. They whole garden is covered. Though all the patio gaps. Etc they're thick hard to get out.
It needs re laying really but we rent and I'm not prepared to spend on it.
Also like cracks in the path etc

Also how early can I do it.

Chemicals are awful for wildlife and the environment so I would avoid them. The easiest way is to buy a weed pulling device and pull them out manually

A kettle full of boiling water is very effective on the weeds growing between patio slabs and on the path. It will kill them almost instantly and then they break down naturally.

(Dont use this method on weeds growing in the lawn, as you will also kill nearby grass!)

Thank you. The size of the garden and amount of weeds I'd have to re fill the kettle a food 50 times plus!

Vinegar works well; not as fast as commercial poison but better for our poor damaged environment.
