I have a new house with a north facing garden. Luckily the garden is big enough that we have enough sunny areas, but there is a strip about 7 feet wide and the entire width of the house that never gets any sun.
I’m looking at replacing the slabs, and wondered if anyone could give me advice/recommendations for something that minimises the growth of moss/algae. I know I can’t avoid it completely but reducing it would be great! Thanks!

You can usually treat them with something at installation to minimise, but other than that, it's a case of using stuff like algon and a pressure washer (or hiring someone else to) on a regular basis.

Make it slightly sloped so water drains away
