Irrigation systems

Does anyone have one of these that they could recommend? I have quite a few pots on my patio, and unfortunately sometimes forget to water in summer Blush also of course for when we go on holiday.

I don't really know anyone that has one, but they sound a great idea? Perhaps they're more trouble than I'm imagining?

We have one as do all our neighbors. Once set up they’re very nice. How much yard do you have?

The bit in question isn't huge - an ugly patio between garage and house. I'd like to make it more lush with some big shrubs in pots - but that would be a big investment so need to commit to looking after them!

Which one do you have? Is it automated, or do you have to turn the tap on to set it off? I'd quite like something I can hook up to Google home to control remotely but not sure if that's even possible!

do you have a irrigation specialty shop to help explain how this would be possible?
we have a 6 zone unit, it's wired to the dedicated outdoor plumbing via the crawlspace the body of the irrigation system is buried to be level with the ground.
once installed it's walk away easy; drip into my pots twice daily, veggie garden long soak each evening, grass every two days, flower beds daily, hedge every two days etc etc etc all programed.
but there may be smaller set ups available.

We have Hozelock systems, one to do the greenhouse and another to do the raised beds, sometimes it’s extended to do the planters. We only use it when we’re away in the summer. It’s attached to the outside tap, which is left on. A mechanical timer works the flow of water.
