Mealybugs and Thrips

Fucking fucking arsehole thrips have completely killed a string of nickels, nearly ruined a monstera and I’ve caught them just in time on DSS’s chilli plant. The bird of paradise we bought last year came with a mealybug infestation that just will not DIE but thankfully it’s nowhere near any other plants. And then today I noticed the anniversary lemon tree I bought for DP and moved inside in October is covered in huge fuckers.

My entire life smells like neem oil spray.

Is it me? Am I just manifesting tiny evil creeps inside my house as some sort of karma?

It’s hard to maintain pest free conditions in a predator-free enclosed environment

Thrips are just about impossible to control, I’m afraid!

@MereDintofPandiculation Oh god do I have to start eating them

Now I’ve just found white spider mites on the Alocasia!

Why is this happening I am a good person. Weep.

What are white spider mites?

user1473878824 · 18/01/2022 08:53

Spider mites that are white, apparently.
