Am I too late in planting bulbs to flower this Spring? If not, please could you recommend which bulbs I need to buy. Thank you.

Was just googling this myself. Consensus seems to be you can still put bulbs in but they'll take longer to emerge. That's for daffodils and tulips, not so sure about the very early bloomers.

Absolutely not - think I planted some in Feb last year and they still came up.

I found a forgotten of tulips in the kitchen sprouting away just yesterday and I'll plant them next weekend.

Found a bag of tulips in the garage, popped them in this weekend along with some bargain crocus from Thompson and Morgan…they were sprouting but I just planted them carefully.

Oh wow! I have a heap of daffodil bulbs in the shed and thought I'd definitely missed the boat. Will stick them in now and keep fingers crossed Smile

Even if it’s too late for them to flower, they’ll still grow leaves and build up energy for next year’s flowers. Doesn’t matter how late you are, it’s always better to get them into the ground.

I've found some snowdrops in the shed earlier today. The ground is frozen solid but I'll try them in a pot see what they do.
