Hi
I have bought 5 different amaryllis bulbs from different sources in the last couple of months
I've paid £10 for a Morrison's best right down to a £2.99 cheapie from Aldi
The Aldi bulb is on it's second flush of flowers with more to come
The £10 Morrison's one hasn't even sprouted a single shoot

I also bought a pot of lilies from Aldi costing £9
Since They were quite dry when I brought them home I watered them
The leaves and buds are now dropping off and it's looking like it will be dead within a week

Does anyone else have similar issues
Have I any comeback?

It's £20 I might have well just flushed down the drain
I have had houseplants for years and I'm more than capable of looking after them

Worth speaking to morrisons, especially if you’re in the north, their customer service is usually excellent.

Sales ofGoods Act should in theory apply. Basically goods should be fit for purpose and in first ?6 months they have one chance of repair then need to replace. This is a garbled memory so please check it. Difficulty is a) finding proof of purchase b) proving to them that you didn’t kill it
