Citrus plants outdoors in winter

I have something like a calamondin bought in Lidl this summer. It's done very well and I love the waxy leaves.
Does it need to come inside now for winter or will it survive? (UK)

It needs to be indoors but somewhere cool.

Thank you @wombat. Is a lot of light important?

I keep mine in a conservatory. They don't like changing light, so don't move it about too much. Watch out for bugs, citrus are basically healthier outside but it's too cold now.

Mine's in the porch, which is double-glazed but unheated.
