Just wondered what are people's favourite roses. I have a St Ethelburga rose in my garden which I love. (Photo attached.) It has a lovely scent which wafts across my small garden. I've got my eye on a Glyndebourne rose which is cream coloured and smells lovely. Anyone have this? Might be a bit tall for my garden, although maybe I can keep it cut shorter

I love ‘The Generous Gardener’ and ‘Gertrude Jekyll’- they both smell absolutely gorgeous. I’ve got my eye on ‘The Lady of The Lake’ for my next purchase!

Emily Gray, climber with apricot flowers with a fresh apple smell. Sweet briars in general for the appley smell of their foliage especially after rain. Constance Spry, an early (first?) David Austin, with amazing smell

I don’t have one but at a stately home saw “Jubilee Celebration” - it was a gorgeous colour and had the most wonderful smell. twas this one I believe

Munstead Wood is a big favourite here for colour and scent, but honourable mention for 'England's Rose' - was bought it by a friend, would never have chosen it, but it just doesn't stop with loads of lovely smaller flowers and smells gorgeous too.

Pleased to see Generous Gardener mentioned as I have ordered one! Along with a Claire Austin.
