How do you manage them once they are planted and what do they look like?

We are looking at buying some to shield an unsightly view but the ones we can afford won’t be tall enough initially. I can understand trimming the front and back of the trellis but what happens at the top?

I just had some pleached red robins planted.
They lightly trimmed the tops do they were level and said to do it yearly.
Being honest I probably won’t until it reaches the height I need.
