Hori Hori Knife recommendations

I’ve just learned about the hori hori knife, and think this will be a perfect gift for my mum, who is seriously difficult to buy for.

Does anyone use one and can recommend a brand? Mum is 86, with small hands, quite arthritic. Do I need to discount the flat wooden handles and look for a less authentic, but more ergonomic plastic handle?

I'm after one too-think I'll splash out on niwaki.

Would also recommend implementations copper tools - the nunki or the spika weeder are great, as are the trowels

Thank you. I do like the copper tools, may treat myself!

I've got the niwaki one. It's brilliant. Much easier to weed and dig with

Another vote for Niwaki. Bloody love ours.

Yep another Nawaki fan here, their hori hori is bloody brilliant. One of their cheaper items, mind - some eye watering prices!!!

We looked at several Japanese tool stands at Chelsea. Holy fuck the prices! But they are very nice.

I ordered a niwaki hori hori, well I had to order 2 & some snips, gloves & kanzen to get free shipping! 🤪

Another Niwaki fan here!
