What (insect?) Eggs are these?

In the past week, these have appeared on a piece of string in the garden. There are more further down, again with a very distinct colour change mid way through. Any ideas what they are from?

Spiders? I had something similar on my shed years ago. It was fascinating watching them hatching and dispersing. They were the long legged type. I could be completely wrong though

Oh how interesting! I don’t know what they are but I want to find out.
