Embarrassing vegetable question

Dear gardeners of Mumsnet, I am very embarrassed to say that I’m not sure what kind of squash/marrow/thing this is. A friend donated them as very small plants and the name has rubbed off the stick.

As you can tell, I’m a very amateur gardener and need all the help I can get! So, what is it, when do I harvest and what can I do with it.

Please be gentle, and thank you.

You have a courgette flower there (the yellow one) plus monbretia (the orange ones), which is just a flower.

butternut squash are already yellow when tiny Mine weren't. They were green and yellow much like a baby marrow.

Like the one Troy'sMammy shows, in fact.

Thanks miss skyler

I did think it was a courgette I was just shocked how round it was

The other plants were supposed to be there
Silly me throwing the seed tin into a gap out the front 🙄 it's quite a funny plant for the front garden

You can get round courgettes.
