Dog repellant plants

Bit of a strange one but we sadly lost our cat recently and are going to bury him in the garden. Thing is we also have two dogs and the thought of them digging him up is really upsetting.

I want to plant something that's instant on the grave and have heard lavender could be a possibility? is that right or can anyone give me any other ideas?

Just bury your cat deep - a couple of foot down - and wrap him in a towel and they shouldn't able to smell him. Nothing has ever tried to dig my cat up, including my dog. That said, don't let them see you burying him and do plant over the top. I know deer won't cross lavender so it might work on dogs?

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you. We've dug a hole and it is a couple of feet deep and I was going to wrap him in his blankets. Fingers crossed that's enough. I'll plant some lavender on top...

Sorry about your cat, sad news. Personally I would put a paving stone or something heavy over the top. Foxes are bastards for digging and I've learnt this from experience.

Sorry about your cat. Second the suggestion to put a paving stone, heavy pot or similar on top. At least for the time being and you can remove later on.
