Anyone got an Aldi Gardenline Weed-burner?

If so, what replacement gas canisters do you use please? To get a suggested replacement is £8.90 min plus £8.90 postage from Germany as they no longer stock them in Aldi UK now. Are there any compatible ones? The only similar ones I've found have a different gas composition and may well have a different fitting. Wondering if it is worth it or to just buy an electric version instead.

I've got one and didn't get on with it. I might have a spare canister in the garage somewhere - don't suppose you're in Warwickshire are you?

We don't have the Aldi one but a Home Bargains one and it took us a while to see if we could get canisters that fit from elsewhere when HB didn't have the gas for a while. We found one in Lidl that works with it so maybe try there? (We don't have Aldi here so can't say if they're the same canisters as we've been using.)

Maybe take an old canister in with you to compare the size of the fittings on each? We usually buy a few of them when we find them in Lidl though as they don't always have them either.

Thanks, might take it out with me today to see but they seem to be a bit of a past fad. Sadly down South @Leah2005 but thanks for the offer.

It's a pain isn't it? We went without using ours for a while but with having idiot dogs that lick everything we much prefer it for our paved areas than putting any chemicals down (and vinegar did nothing when I tried it.) My dodgy back really didn't enjoy having to pull everything out by hand when we didn't use it either.

We don't have anything like B&M or The Range where we are either so I don't know if they sell them and our Home Bargains only rarely does the gas (even though they seem to sell the burners almost all year round now.) I keep meaning to check in our local garden centres or B&Q when I'm in them but I always forget and we don't go all that often.

Amazon sell a converter which will allow twist canister to be used with screw on burner.😀

Does it really burn things? Is it wise to use in these dry conditions?

They're used to get rid of weeds in driveways or patios. Safe as long as you use it correctly.
