Cross pollinating courgettes and squashes?

So I've got two types of courgette (yellow and green), the yellow plant has lots of female flowers but no males and none coming through so far. The females (about 10) aren't getting pollinated and falling off. Can I use a male flower from the green courgette and pollinate the yellow one with that? Or is that not going to work?

I would have thought it would work. Don’t use the seed to grow new plants, there have been cases of poisoning from courgettes grown from saved seed. In each case the fruit has tasted bitter. But that’s the next generation.
