We found this rampaging in North Wales, any IDs?

Russian vine, mile-a-minute vine

Fallopia baldshuanica, member of the dock family

Yes, the aptly named mile a minute (fallopia baldschuanica)

OMG, get rid of it before then entire neighbourhood is swamped. Awful stuff.

And it is related to Japanese Knotweed which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Would be interesting to see if it can outcompete the ivy, though!

Would be interesting to see if it can outcompete the ivy, though! It will. It doesn't build such thick stems or tough waxy leaves, therefore it can go faster.
