Something (probably squirrels) have stripped 2 pear trees bare of fruit! Any tips on how to stop this?

You can net the whole tree, or you can get sleeves that you put over branches. Neither are that good! Or if the tree is on its own, ie they have to climb it not jump into it, you could put a baffle on or a ring of grease and some chilli powder.

Are you sure it's not birds?

No advice just here for sympathy. The bloody squirrels have had all but 2 apples this year from my tree. It was a good crop as well, better than last year where we had buckets full. And yes I'm sure it's them I have watched them eat half of each apple while eying me from the top of the tree then dropping half on the floor for me to tidy up. Angry

I have not a single cherry and not a single plum left on my trees. I am absolutely sure that it is squirrels.
