Tomorite poured over fruits

My H went out to feed my tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes - it didn't occur to me that he didn't know you are meant to water the soil and not 'imitate rain' by pouring the can over the entire plant.

So, not sure where this leaves the fruits, now that they've had feed poured over them: does anyone know if that means they are unsafe to consume?

Oh bless him 🤭

I’d give them all a really really good hose down. Maybe repeatedly for a few days!! Just to dilute it down so nothing burns. I wouldn’t imagine it would make anything unsafe to eat though. It’s just nutrients. Lots of them!!!!

I didn't feel very "bless him" last night! I will wash each fruit today, and we are due some thundery showers from tomorrow onwards, so that will give them a thorough rinse. And he can act as 'beefeater' when it comes to using them...
