Any point to a metal incinerator bin if...?

Is there any point to having a metal incinerator bin if a) You have a decent shredder for important documents and/or b) You have a large enough garden where you can have a bonfire and get shot of stuff that way?

I am doing a clear out and found this incinerator bin in the garage, Dad bought it years ago for some reason and it's never been used. We generally have had bonfires once a year or so - am I missing out if I give this away to a passing neighbour? Is there some bylaw that prevents garden bonfires these days?

An incinerator will keep at a higher temperature for a fuller burn and less smoke and pollution

Yes, you’re not allowed bonfires within a certain distance of a public road, and not at all in a Clean Air Zone
