Rhododendron help

I have a young rhododendron plant in my garden. It's not really growing well and now has brown spots on the leaves. Not sure if it's a fungal problem but I read that around the brown spots is normally a purple line, if it's fungal. which I cannot see.

I don't know about the brown spot, but it looks a bit pale - it might need some ericaceous plant food/ chelated iron.

It's not too dry is it? (I lost one after a couple of dry summers, it was outcompeted by a silver birch)

Looks like leaf burn to me- is it in shade / semi-shade? If it's in a sunny border, it will protest!
