Cotswold Rockery Stone as Border for Flower Bed?

Anyone has had experience before?

I'm really new to gardening, so really not sure if it's a good choice, particularly fear of making them hiding places for slugs/snails!

I have random rocks at the edge of my flower beds, it’s lovely to see the plants tumbling over them. I don’t find the slugs and snails any more of a problem than anywhere else in the garden.
