I never knew you can cut lupins right to the ground this early!

It looks so much better now!

I have been out this morning nipping the curly bits off my sweet peas - and apologising for watering them with cold water!

I watched on catchup last night and this thread has made me laugh.
My lupins (new bare root this year, in a pot atm) are just flowering so I won't be cutting them down just yet. And I'm letting my delphiniums set seed. But I but the geraniums down to the ground last week.

The best bit is getting to tackle all the grass and bastard campanula growing through the lupin. And I've replanted around it with annuals so should get some more flowers.

Ohh my campanula are still flowering as well, although I keep deadheading them which is impossible to keep on top of.

Omg I have to tear mine out by the bucket load every week or so or I'd have nothing but campanula to see.
