I walk past this stunning tree every day and have become slightly obsessed with it!

I don't know if it comes across completely in the pic, but the leaves are a very bright lime green colour, and each one is a leaf made up of smaller leaves.

I had a beautiful mature one in my previous garden but sadly it died after a few years of us living there. It's really a lovely tree!

Robinia. They are stunning, but they're being hit by some sort of die-back disease at the moment which is killing quite a few.

If you like the colour but don't want to risk the disease, you could try an Indian Bean tree (the golden variety), Catalpa bignoides Alba, which is a similar colour but with different leaves.

Thank-you for the tip about the golden Indian bean tree! It's so sad that robinia are so vulnerable. They seem to be quite expensive to buy even a very small sapling, so it would be a bit of a gamble to get one.

Someone down my road has a tree that I think might be a bean tree, it's been pollarded and looks amazing, it's like a trunk with a big pompom of foliage

Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst' Is very very similar

I see I failed to add the photo. It’s really very similar to the robins fris, I’ve got a 40 year old one in my garden and it’s doing very well indeed.
