I have this too! Around here it grows in the hedges bordering the fields. Don't know what it is though. Doesn't flower.

No it grows up every year and I pull it out. It climbs over everything if you leave it.

It's wild clematis and it's a menace, I am fighting it in my front garden but without much success!

Thank you! I should have recognised it as a clematis - it's now in my compost bin.
