Would this terracotta pot be breathable?

I wanted to find a black terracotta pot (a bit different from the ones with the traditional 'orangey' colour).

But I don't know if the fact that it's glazed will make it non-breathable. It does have a drainage hole though

Thanks!

I also wanted to find something with a 'built in' saucer or matching saucer

Glazing will make the clay surface non-porous so I presume non-breathable. Why does it need to be breathable?

I'm fairly new at gardening and wanted to have a succulent. I'm reading on some sites that terracotta pots are the best option as they are breathable but maybe this is not the case?

It should be fine as long as you make a very gritty compost mix. Don't use a saucer, you don't want pooled water, instead raise the pot on pot feet to ensure good drainage.

^ that answer is assuming it will be outdoors.

As someone who has grown cacti and succulents for over 40 years, I can say that breathable terracotta isn’t really necessary. Most of us collectors grow our plants in plastic pots - definitely not breathable! The only plants I grow in terracotta are rare and difficult species which might rot in plastic.
I also agree about not using a saucer, succulents need excellent drainage as already mentioned, so sitting in a saucer of water is a bad idea.

Thank you all!
