Can anyone ID a David Austin rose?

Does anyone know David Austin roses well enough to guess what rose this is? It was a gift before I was such a keen gardener so I didn't record the name. I do remember it had a David Austin label and it's a climber.

Maybe search their website and have a look at their climbing roses? They don't have hundreds the last I checked, so hopefully it'll be quick and easy to find it x

Maybe James Galway

Queen Elizabeth?

Are you definite about David Austin? They're normally more blousy than that

It looks to me like an Agatha Christie climber

MilduraS · 16/06/2021 08:26

I was 99% sure it was David Austin when I posted but now I've seen the Agatha Christie it looks like a more likely candidate. I couldn't find anything similar on the DA website but assumed they might not list out of stock roses and it's the wrong time of year. Not surprising, if you'd ask me what colour it was in the depths of winter I would have sworn it was cream Hmm Thanks for the help!

Not all of them, by any means. I've got a non-climbing DA rose quite similar to that one, I've long forgotten its name though.

It's very lovely whatever it is, OP!

Maybe you should contact DA and ask if they can ID it?

Sparticle · 16/06/2021 12:52

I had a rose ID query on twitter last week and someone tagged David Austin. They replied and said to email them with photos and they try to help. I've not got round to it yet(!) but suggest you do the same?

MilduraS · 16/06/2021 14:53

Ooh I'll email them. Thanks!
