Camellia help needed!

I bought a gorgeous Camellia last spring. It didn’t flower this year but not surprised. The leaves are speckled and falling off. I asked at the garden centre, they said it was normal shedding and would regrow, it’s been a tough winter. I’m not convinced. Anyone with any ideas what it could be and what I can do? Hopefully photos will attach.

Bits of new growth look ok. Camellias produce flower buds on this years growth and need a lot of water. I suspect it’s been too dry. Water, then water again.

Ericaceous feed as well.

Thank you @Beebumble2! I haven't been watering as much as I probably should have so that could explain it.

@ClingFilmAndGafferTape What do the underside of the affected leaves look like - can you do a picture of that?

My suspicions is that it might be something fungal like camellia leaf blight, so it might be worth cutting off the affected leaves and disposing of them in the bin (ordinary bin, don't compost them). If there are any dodgy-looking branches that are dying back, cut them away as well. Clear away any fallen leaves from around the plant too. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then try a fungicide spray like 'Fungus clear ultra'.

I did a quick bit of research and the likely cause is not enough iron in the soil, so I’d give it an ericaceous feed once a week and see if it improves.
As they are evergreen would would expect some leaf drop at random times.

Oh and water with rainwater, if possible. Difficult at the moment. If you haven’t got a waterbutt then leave out a plastic tub,or washing up bowl to gather some.

I had this problem with my camellia and what worked was a weekly camellia feed as it needed iron. It does need a lot of water too
