The flowers on this tree smell lovely. Does anyone know what it is please and if it's possible that cuttings would take? Thanks

Looks like a Gloria to me.

Very tentative, but given that it is scented, and it has 4-petalled flowers, with the petals in a tube with free lobes, the shape of the buds, and the shape of the leaf to the left of the flower cluster, make me wonder whether it's a lilac in the early stages of flowering. A bit late for flowering unless this photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, or you're in a part of the country that is colder than Yorkshire.

Deutzia has 5 petals so it can't be that.

I would say lilac too, the leaves definitely look like it.

It was taken today and I'm in the south

There is a lilac tree intertwined with it. I've taken a closer photo of the leaves

I could be being dense here but those still look like lilac leaves to me. Could it all be lilac but with some flowers affected by some kind of mutation?

It looks a bit like number 12 on this list of lilacs to me?
