I bought two* bargain corner clematises - one montana grandiflora and one montana Warwickshire Rose (similar to montana Rubens) - and I put them on the windowsill with their respective labels, to await planting.
But the more I look at them, the more I think I may have mixed up the labels! The vigorous one on the left with the darker, browner leaves I think looks more like the Warwickshire Rose/Rubens-type, and the less vigorous one on the right with the brighter green leaves might be more like the grandiflora....
I could really do with some second opinions before I plant them, as I have two very different spots in mind. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to which is which?
- OK, I bought 6 really. The other 4 were late-flowering ones though and have all been correctly identified and planted though! I can’t resist the bargain clematis corner
