What is this tree, please? It smells beautiful and I want one

Sorry its not taken closer but someone was on the other side of the road and I didn't want to linger taking pictures of people's houses

Looks like a lilac maybe? Did it smell nice?

No clue, but if cities can plant trees in pots surely you can find a pot for a shrub (although a big shrub) which means a big pot

I think lilacs have an extensive root system although you can get dwarf varieties which might work in a pot. Go to a garden centre and have a look.

You can get varieties suitable for growing in pots. I love lilac and the scent is beautiful.

Miss Kim is small (for a lilac) BEWARE there are several varieties of lilac.

I find it hard to get to decent garden centres (don't drive).
