Hydrangea - how quick do they grow?

Does anyone know how quickly these grow? I've bought one from the garden centre that is only about 25cm tall at the moment. Hoping it'll get much bigger soon!

It would depend on the variety and how you care for it. Some varieties are quite small and others mature to quite large shrubs.
Planting it in good compost! Watering very well and feeding throughout the summer will help it grow to its best.
On average I’d expect about 12-20 cms a year.

Oh gosh, quite slow then!

That’s quite fast growth when you consider how much of its energy goes into those big blooms.

If you want a wall or something covered quickly, there are faster options. Either climber or shrub.

You might possibly get a larger plant in the long run sooner if you forego the blooms this year, OP.
