Frantic searches on Google suggest it's under stress. It's happened literally I overnight. I'm wondering if it's been under watered? It's been in the ground since March time and already put on growth. It has berries on it now and all seems well. Until now! I have another in the back garden that isn't facing due south like the first one that also has a few red leaves.

If I've thrown loads of water at them, is that likely enough for them to recover? I honestly thought with all the rain last month they would be ok. I'm pretty sure I watered them both at the weekend Sad. But it's been so hot here. How often should I water young trees in the summer?

have you watered it at all since it was planted?
iirc new trees need to be watered for the first year or 2 until they are established.
hopefully it will recover.

Yes, watered it definitely. Just not over the wet month of may. Now thinking not enough. I can't think of what else it would be though? We've had that really hot week last week is my only concern?

New,y planted trees need to be watered around twice a week, whether it rains or not. They need two bucket fulls in the summer. Especially in this heat. Hopefully you can bring it back.
