Messy grass cuttings

Now the warmer weather is here I feel like I'm forever cutting the grass and cleaning up excess grass cutting that get traipsed through the house constantly by my toddler ..
any suggestions Mumsnet? TIA XX

Make sure the grass is properly dry before you cut it (so leaving it to get long isn't a good idea).
Sweep any hard surfaces after.
Door mat inside and out to try and catch the worst of it.

And the obvious - I presume your lawn mower collects the cuttings rather than just leaving them on the lawn?

Thanks guys, yes my lawnmower collects but still loads of excess. Will bare in mind not to leave to long in between cuts. Thanks so much. I love having freshly cut grass, but such a mess afterwards lol x

Does your toddler have shoes or boots which are easy to put on and take off by the door(s)? That's the main thing. Same for adults - gardening clogs or crocs are ideal.
