What can I plant here?

I have a raised bed in my back yard which has a lovely big honeysuckle in the middle, and a massive lavender and sage bush to one side which gets the sun until mid-afternoon.

There's quite a bit of space underneath the tree but it's very shady. I tried digging down a bit and there's loads of roots in there (I assume from the honeysuckle).

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do with it? It would be nice to have something growing there. I am a very novice gardener but have managed to grow some stuff this year thanks to MN, so I'm very eager to make it nice. I've attached some photos (they aren't the best but show what I mean!)

Crainsbill geraniums. There’s a huge variety, a pale pink or white spreading variety would look nice.

Thank you, do you think they will do ok even though it's full shade because of the honeysuckle?

Pulmonaria loves the shade and will grow in most conditions.

Vinca would be fine, and would spread out nicely along the wall. More to the point , what are you planning to do to disguise that grey down pipe!!!! You need something that will shoot up there in seconds, morning glory maybe, you would probably need to off some sort of netting for it to cling on to it would be fine in a pot at the base of the pipe.

Yes I would love something for that corner! I was discussing this with DH yesterday but it's a bit of an awkward space as it doesn't get any sun and the bed doesn't extend the whole way to the wall. I'd have to put something in a pot. I just use that corner to store my compost at the minute Grin

I would say vinca minor too, it grows well in the shade.
