What is this plant?

Can anyone help me identify this plant? I'm rubbish at gardening. It's in our planter and we want to know it it's weeds or not. Thank you!

It looks like a poppy.

It's one of those great big papaver poppies by the look of it. I have one that I planted last year with two big heads on it which is exciting because I can't remember what colour I bought

I spotted one of mine has started to flower this week.

Within a month or so. They produce masses of seeds so you will get them every year.
