Lettuces/salad leaves bolting

My beautiful salad leaves were doing great until I planted them out, then mist of them rapidly went to seed.
I sewed a new row and they are now bolting as well. Any suggestions?

Mine have done the same. I’ve slightly given up gardening this year partly due to the extraordinary weather. Everything has died (late frost) or bolted

Sowed! Though I might as well have sewed them!

Uneven watering. Flowering is a panicky last ditch attempt at reproduction. (Bolting is when they start putting up a flower spike)

Could be variety as well. Some salads much better suited to late summer/autumn salads rather than springtime. I can’t remember any variety names sorry but remember Charles Dowding doing a video about this.
