Lawn help

My lawn is on a slope, a third of it is shady and mossy. The rest is full of thistles, daisies (don't mind those), dandelions and other weeds. I extended it by about a metre a few months ago and seeded, the parts in the sun have come on well and filled out nicely but the shady parts have a few pathetic grass sprouts and its very lumpy.
I'm thinking of getting someone in to sort it to a point where I can look after it myself (don't mind mowing and edging). Has anyone any experience of lawn services and costs?

A family member uses Green Thumb and their lawns look good. Ours is terrible, but on clay with loads of moss. The guy who cuts it has recently scarified it, fingers crossed this will help improve it.

Mine is on clay too. I'll look up scarifying!

Maybe reseed with this type of product in the shady zone:
