Any advice please on this Persicaria.I've got this plant with chocolate markings in the same small pot for twenty years bought from a gent at a summer fair in Berkshire.I want two can I split it now without it suffering thanks.

Persicaria is easily split and very easy going. Just split and replant. I’m surprised you’ve kept it in a pot, I’ve 3 varieties in the garden, they do well on any soil and the bees love the flowers.

Thats great thanks for that advice.I can be so blinkered about pots just leaving plants to do their thing.Looked at it today and thought I'd ask and now I can put it in a bed and watch two of them grow
