Someone told me this was sweet woodruff but I have not seen any flowers on it in last two years and it has spread to neighbouring border

Is it sweet woodruff and if not what else might it be? Thnx

That is creeping cinquefoil, a very fast growing and almost impossible to eradicate weed - the bane of my life. Sorry.

No sorry! I have sweet woodruff and it’s quite nice. That looks like creeping cinquefoil to me too.

Thnx. that wouldn't surprise me as previous owners seem to have been keen on other invasive, spreading plants. The leaves look very similar but no flowers that I can recall or runners but I will pull as much as I can anyway. Would have liked sweet woodruff instead :(

It’s definitely a Potentilla, and could be creeping cinquefoil Potentilla reptans. Creeping cinquefoil has lovely rose-like yellow flowers
