Jasmine with yellow leaves

My DD bought me a jasmine from a garden centre a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. Planted it in garden but now worrying as some of the newer leaves are yellow. We have added some fertiliser. Is it likely to die or recover?

Usually too much fertiliser causes the leaves to yellow. Did you follow the instructions. It won’t die but keep it well watered to dilute the fertiliser if this was the cause.

I’ve just gone and given it a good water. Fingers crossed.
