Can anyone help identify this from the leaves? Thank you

It's not a very helpful photo - can you take a clearer one of the leaves?

I'll try, its on a bank and I struggle to reach it. Will ask DH tomorrow.

I sent DS to get some leaves. I've googled trifoliate leaves but nothing obvious has come up! I've tried bushes and trees.

I think it's an acer of some sort, possibly a Field maple looking at the leaf and the bark. The leaf has three main lobes and two smaller basal lobes.

I put it into Google lens and field maple does keep coming up - it looks v much like that.

It's a field maple (acer campestre) and is native to the UK. The leaves, bark and growth habit are all very distinctive.

I've googled trifoliate leaves but nothing obvious has come up! - it's not trifoliate - trifoliate means it has 3 leaflets, like a clover.
