Plant in stones?

We have these stones around our house from the builders..I can't be bothered to remove them but wondering if there's something I can plant in one area that will spread over/through the stones? Ideally something that'll have flowers at some point during the year?

I recommend Aubretia, for low creeping cover. If it is generally poor soil, sunny, and dry: go with lavendula (not lavender, lavendula will be better) and rock rose, which will suit the conditions, buy small plants and prune them after they have flowered to keep a good dense shape.

Creeping Thyme, violets, violas, welsh poppies, small variety Persicaria and stonecrop all grow, unassisted in my gravel.
