Anything good I should look out for?
I may pop down with the kids later, they often have lots of bareroot plants and cheap potted plants in there

Ours had lots of climbing plants and some roses. Does anyone know whether they have any windmills? DD wants some for his gnome garden. (don't ask)

Well, I’m back back now and pickings were slim Sad
I have in the past picked up many lovely things from them; geums, blackcurrants, roses, Veronica’s, all sorts!
But nothing there today.

I did however get lots of lovely things from Morrisons and B&M.
A nice double apricot hollyhock, some calendula and nigella seeds and some incarvillea and snow glory.
The snow glory I will of course have to wait until next year for flowers.

the supermarkets are really quite good aren't they!?

i got some lovely roses from Lidl last year and a few hose attachments which are better (imo) than my hose lock ones

They are!
The vast majority of my plants are Morrisons/aldi/Poundland and EBay but eBay tend to sell predominantly plug plants where the supermarkets tend to have much bigger plants ready to plant straight out

I got some gorgeous ranunculus from Morrisons last week.
The colour was a bit shit in the shop, so much so I thought they were mislabelled (they were a bronzey pink) but my god once they got a bit of sun, they are stunning!
£4 for 8 large plugs!

Morrison’s by us had some lovely big lolly pop olive trees! £17.99 thought that was brilliant.. you would easily pay 30+ in a garden centre!! Wish I had got a couple now..

Today wilkos had some lovely large and healthy Acers in. I was very tempted as only £11 for a plant around a metre tall but I live on the south coast and I have never managed to keep on alive for long.

Poundstretchers (also known as Bargain Buys) are good for gardening stuff. They are a retailer that sometimes gets a bit forgotten.

Ours used to be good but they have closed down now
