My mini greenhouse is 40 degrees

As above I have one of those tent like green houses with a thermometer in.

If it’s sunny the daily peak is around 40 degrees C. Is this bad for the plants? Everything in there seems quite happy. Have some young fruit and veg plants, strawberries, beans, courgettes and tomatoes.

40 degrees is a bit warm for tender seedlings - they can dry out very quickly. Keep the compost of the seedlings moist and open the cover each day to get the temperature down to 25-30 degrees, which is more comfortable for toms and most other plants. Close up each evening, before the temperature drops too much, the nights can still be chilly in April and early May.

Gardening is a great hobby, and watching the seedlings develop is very satisfying. Smile
