We moved to a new house last winter with a very neglected garden; whilst trying to clear the brambles and nettles I spotted a few large intriguing clumps of emerging shoots, which I think must be the remains of the old cottage garden. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks :)

They look like Crown Imperial filitilleria bulbs emerging. Lucky you.

@redcandlelight Yes they are reminiscent of artichokes but I don't think they are, these are the leaf shoots, I think...
