It’s taken over where I have some lavender growing. Not sure if it’s a weed or something I’ve planted! It has no smell

It looks like creeping buttercup - pretty flowers, but it spreads by underground roots and takes over very quickly, I dig it out whenever I see it.

Creeping buttercup. Not the good kind of buttercup but the kind that will invade your garden and be a bit of a pain if you like to keep things tidy. It's not a horrible leaf shape, though, and the colour's fine. If you are a messy gardener and don't care, it's not the end of the world. It doesn't produce flowers to earn its keep though.

Thanks. Yes I was just about to say the leaf was quite pretty, which is why I thought it might be something I planted. It’s a newish empty looking flower bed with some lavender and had a mix of stuff in it last summer. I’ll probably dig it out but won’t be too fussed if it comes back.
