Cheap plant supports ?

Does anyone have tips where to get some good supports cheaply? I have made my own for sweet peas just with branches but I think our peonies are going to need help (they are in pots )
Thank you !

Do you mean individual sticks/poles or a trellis type support? I got a pack of 10 bamboo sticks from poundland, for £1. They also do several, cheap, trellis options.

You could always ask on olio or freecycle for babmoo poles, wooden stick off cuts, or poles for free.

Monty Don has a cheap plant support idea if you google it - he uses very thin metal poles that he bends.

I've also seen supports made from y-shaped twigs, plunged in deeply, in a circle around the plant. They need to not be old wood otherwise they snap.

Wilko they sell the same style hoop plant support that monty makes for about £4. Ideal for dahlias and peonies

Thank you so much for these great replies. I love the Y shaped twigs and before seeing this I went foraging for hazel sticks to try and build a support; the Wilko ones look very handy too.

I made ones like Monty's with some rods from an old roman blind
