Anybody recognise this invader?

Hi all,

So my grass died back a bit over the winter (it was newly laid turf in the summer) and I've had to reseed but I've noticed this weed everywhere. It wasn't there last year and it's got into my veg patch, my hanging planters, the cracks in the cement. You name it, it's there.

Any idea what it is?

Thanks in advance

It's sycamore, you must have a tree nearby shedding seed all over the place. Just pull em all up, then they won't bother you again until next spring.

Do you have a Sycamore tree nearby? It looks suspiciously like a sycamore seedling, although a bit early to tell. I would remove all you can find, in any case.

Thank you so much! I thought it was that and my husband laughed at me 🙄🙄🙄! I have a huge tree overlooking my garden 😃. Thank you for all your replies x

Yes, sycamore - one of the reasons it is a nuisance tree. MIL has thousands every year too. Just pull them up. If they are in the lawn you can mow them off.

Yup, get rid, they grow into small bloody trees surprisingly quickly.
