I have a brick wall that is in the shape of a wave. We want to plant some large bushes/ trees in each curve.

I have 5 spaces and in 3 of them I will be planting a photinia red robin to match the hedge I have. I would like to plant something higher, possibly a tree (up to 3 metres) in the other 2 curves but can't think of anything.

Criteria:

Evergreen
Tree, up to 3 metres
Lush green to compliment the green of the red robin leaves
Can add to the privacy we are seeking

Elaeagnus ebbingei is evergreen, grows to 3m (possibly taller but can be pruned to keep it at a desired height), can be shaped if you want, has nice leaves which are dark green on top and silver beneath and flowers which smell heavenly in autumn. It is drought and shade tolerant.

You can also get a yellow variegated version.
